In response to the growing needs of businesses in the community that Laval Virtual attracts (almost 10,000 professionals specialising in and/or using immersive techniques: virtual reality and augmented reality), this year Laval Virtual is launching its “Job Fair”. A space linked to the show dedicated to bringing recruiters and candidates together. This free to access space will be open during the ‘professional days’ from 20th to 22nd March 2019.
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
A sector that recruits
According to the job search website Joblift, 10,162 job offers in “virtual reality” were published in the United Kingdom alone between May 2016 and May 2018. This booming sector benefits from financing towards the development of start-ups and businesses constantly seeking new talent. According to VRFocus, these needs are increasing by 6% each month.
A dedicated area
Enabling recruiters to meet candidates
Recruiters and as a priority exhibiting companies, (over 320 in 2018) will be able to take advantage of two formulas:

Fast growing needs
Match compatible profiles
The virtual reality sector may still be burgeoning, but with its 21 years’ experience Laval Virtual sets the standard. We should note that, according to a recent study 49 % of French students envisage training for professions that do not exist yet. The Job Fair is an opportunity for recruiters to find the talent that has received the initial training in these new technologies (Master’s students at the Institut des Arts & Métiers de Laval) or talent from related professions (such as graphic design and video game professionals), who are able to respond to the demands of new sectors presently developing their product offering in the virtual and/or augmented reality arena.
