How to participate in Laval Virtual Europe 2021?
In 2021, the Laval Virtual Europe exhibition is a hybrid event. As each year, you can come to the town of Laval (Mayenne, France) to attend the conferences, meet the exhibitors and enjoy the networking evenings. If you can’t travel, Laval Virtual opens the doors of its virtual world, the Laval Virtual World, accessible from all over the world. You will meet exhibitors, attend a part of the conferences, take part in animations and evenings, and network in business areas.

 

What is the health protocol in place?
To protect the health of visitors, exhibitors, speakers, volunteers and organisers, Laval Virtual follows the health guidelines recommended by the government. At the exhibition, several measures will be in place:

- Wearing a mask is mandatory
- Maximum gauge
- Social distancing
- Hydro-alcoholic gel available
- Circulation direction
- Floor markings
- Disinfection of headsets, PCs and microphones

 

What are the opening hours of the exhibition?
The Laval Virtual Europe 2021 professional event is open on: Wednesday 7th July from 10am to 6pm ; Thursday 8th July from 9am to 6pm ; Friday 9th July from 9am to 4pm. The conferences will be accessible on: Wednesday 7th July from 10am to 6pm ; Thursday 8th July from 10am to 6pm ; Friday 9th July from 10am to 12:30pm.

 

How to access the event?
This year, the Laval Virtual Europe 2021 exhibition is taking place at the Espace Mayenne (2 rue Joséphine Baker, 53000 Laval, Mayenne France). To get access to the event, you need to buy a pass and bring it with you. Don't forget your ID, which may be required at the entrance.

 

What are the catering points during the event?
Several lounges will offer food and drink from Wednesday 7th July through Sunday 11th July. There will also be a Village outside the event venue with food trucks, open from Wednesday 7th July to Friday 9th July.

 

Will there be lockers or changing rooms for luggage?
A checkroom will be available inside the Espace Mayenne for your personal belongings. We also provide a container outside to store your luggage.

B/ Ticketing and prices

I bought a pass last year for the physical edition of Laval Virtual 2020, which was canceled. Can I get a refund for Laval Virtual 2021?
You had until November 4th, 2020 to choose an alternative after the cancellation of the physical edition of Laval Virtual 2020: report your pass for the 2021 edition of Laval Virtual, use your pass for the 2020 edition of VRDays, or make a donation to the association. As the deadline has passed, we invite you to buy a pass for the 2021 edition. 

 

Do I need to print my ticket?
To access the physical part of the Laval Virtual Europe 2021 exhibition, you must bring your pass. You can print it or present it to our hostesses directly on your smartphone.

 

How much does the ticket cost?
Several passes at different prices are available on our ticketing service. The Discovery Pass is 84€ including tax and the Full Pass is 588€ including tax. There is a free ticket, the LV World Pass, which allows you to access only the virtual part of Laval Virtual Europe 2021.

 

Is it possible to buy a ticket at the event venue?
During the three days of the event, from July 7th to 9th, you will still have the possibility to buy a ticket for the Laval Virtual Europe 2021 exhibition. You can buy your ticket directly at the reception desk of the physical event, but only with a credit card.

 

With my ticket, do I have access to several days?
All tickets (Discovery Pass, Full Pass, LV World Pass...) allow you to access Laval Virtual Europe during the 3 days dedicated to professionals, from July 7th to 9th 2021.

 

Can I get access to the physical exhibition in Laval with my LV WORLD PASS?
The LV World Pass is a ticket allowing you to access exclusively the virtual part of the Laval Virtual Europe 2021 event. If you want to get access to the physical part, you need to buy a Full Pass or a Discovery Pass.

 

I am a student. Can I get a discount? When can I go to the event?
A Student Pass is on sale at the prize of 18€ tax included on our ticketing service. The exhibition is accessible to the students only on Friday 9th July.

C/ Virtual event

How to access the Laval Virtual World?
To access the Laval Virtual World, you have to download the software and install it on your PC ou Mac. The virtual world is also accessible on a virtual reality headset, with a beta version. In the Laval Virtual World, you will have access to a part of the conferences and to the virtual exhibition space, as well as meet the other participants (visitors, exhibitors, speakers…).

 

How do I know if I am using the right application?
You must download the Laval Virtual World application, with the link mentioned in the previous answer.

 

Do I have to install the software to access the virtual world?
The Laval Virtual World is accessible through a software that absolutely needs to be installed on your computer (Mac or PC). You can’t access it via an internet browser.

 

Where can I find an explanatory guide about Laval Virtual World ?
If you have difficulties installing or navigating inside the Laval Virtual World, an Installation Guide and a User Guide are available.

 

I have lost my password to log in to the application, what can I do?
To reset your password, click on "Forgot your password?". An email will be sent to the address you entered to create a new password to log in to the application. Please check your spam folder.

 

I have a technical problem in the virtual world, what can I do?
We invite you to take a ticket at the green box at the virtual world reception. A technical support person will see you to solve your problem.

 

My microphone does not work.
In the world settings (top right), click on "microphone adjustment". Check that the microphone device matches the headset/microphone used.
- PC: Then click on "Windows sound settings", then the "recording" tab and check that only the microphone used is activated. You can also check that the "playback" tab uses the same device. If this does not work, click on the microphone, then "properties" and check that the microphone icon is activated.
- MAC: Then click on "MAC sound settings", check that the correct device is activated in the output and input tab.

 

I can't hear the other avatars.
In the world settings (top right), click on "microphone adjustment". Check that the microphone device matches the headset/microphone used.
- PC: Then click on "Windows sound settings", then the "recording" tab and check that only the microphone used is activated. You can also check that the "playback" tab uses the same device. If this does not work, click on the headset, then "properties" and check that the speaker icon is activated.
- MAC: Then click on "MAC sound settings", check that the correct device is activated in the output and input tab.

 

The application is slow, I have trouble moving around with my avatar, changing rooms, etc...
In this case, the computer is not recent or the connection is bad. A few tips to relieve the application and the computer:
- When launching the application, select the lowest resolution and graphic quality.
- When you are in the world, go to the world settings (top right), then click on "preferences". You can then :
- set the lowest graphic quality
- set the target frame rate to 10
- check the "Only see things nearby" box
- check the box "Simple" in avatar complexity
